    The Economic and Workforce Development Program calendar shows statewide events from all the EWD initiatives, including MEI

  3. Webinars and Seminars
    John Avakian, the Statewide MEI Director based at the College of San Mateo, arranges a series of informative web meetings. You can join from your desk and learn about resources such as competitive pricing for software, industry studies, and the Media Arts Award Competition.

  4. Conferences and Industry Events
    MEI brings educators and industry members together at events such as the Game Developers Conference, Flash Forward and the New Media Consortium.

  5. Media Arts Award Competition
    Each year MEI hosts a statewide student competition, encouraging California Community College students and high School students to submit entries. There is an elaborate system of faculty chairs and committees, plus industry judges and a dual Northern and Southern California awards ceremony.
