Thank you for attending or supporting the Region 10 Industry Advisory Council for New Media. We had a successful meeting, with findings that will help regional community colleges direct their new media curriculum and program development. It was a pleasure to see everyone, and I know that there were significant new relationships born at the event. I hope the meeting was helpful and interesting to all.

 

This meeting was hosted by the New Media Center, a regional resource center to support economic and workforce development for the ten community colleges in Region 10 of the California Community College system. The colleges in Region 10 are: City, Cuyamaca, Grossmont, Imperial Valley, Mesa, MiraCosta, Miramar, Palomar, Southwestern and The Centers for Education and Technology (a cluster of six, non-credit training centers within the San Diego Community College District). The New Media Center is housed at the North City Center for Education and Technology.

Several industry members requested information about setting up or expanding internship relationships with the colleges. So, included here, you’ll find internship contact information for each of the Region 10 colleges/districts. These documents will also be posted on our web site.

 

Thank you to the table moderators and table recorders who made it possible for us to share these comments. Also, thank you to industry partners who filled out the questionnaires about your training needs.
