MEI Region 10, Multimedia Industry Advisory Council
Many thanks to the industry representatives who have helped community colleges plan their curriculum and growth. It really, really matters when an industry person gives input. Community colleges, especially technical programs, are designed with economic, business and community needs in mind.
Each year MEI-10 hosts Regional Multimedia Industry Advisory Council meeting. It is a chance for industry representatives to speak to educators from each of the ten community colleges in the region at the same time. We’ve had as many as 80 people attend, including representatives from small, medium and large companies in the area. The purpose of this meeting is to get a real-world snapshot of the state of the industry in our region, which helps shape curriculum planning and program growth.
The Statewide MEI Regional Board was launched in April 2006. Some Regional Advisory Council members also serve on the Statewide MEI Regional Board, which serves the entire MEI network.
